Bio

Micah Baines is a native of Wilson, North Carolina and Rocky Mount Academy High School. Baines graduated from Northland International University (WI) in May of 2014 with a B.S. in Sports Ministry. Before transferring to NIU in 2012, Baines spent two season as point guard for NCAA DII Presbyterian College.

While at NIU (2012-2014), Baines was a two year captain and starting point guard for the men’s basketball team. Leading the team in scoring and assists, Baines went on to advance the Pioneers to a Midwest Regional Championship and a NCCAA National Tournament appearance. Baines was name to the All Regional Team in 2013.

After a successful college career, Baines followed his passion into coaching. Baines began his coaching career with the Selma Thunder, a local AAU program from 2014-2016. In 2016 he became the Boys' Basketball Coach for Community Christian School and coached there until 2018.

Coach Baines is returning to Boyce College for his second stint as an assistant coach after he was on the staff for the 2019-2020 season.
