Boyce Basketball Honors Coach Bailey of Kuyper
Statement read at the game in honor of Coach Bailey:
Boyce Basketball would like to take a moment to honor and recognize Coach Gary Bailey as he enters retirement at the end of this season. Coach Bailey has served as a college coach at the NCCAA level for the past 20 years, mentoring countless young men and investing in the development of young college coaches. His love for the Lord is evident in all that he does and in the way he lives and leads.
Over the past two decades, Coach Bailey has compiled an extraordinary record of success, winning six NCCAA National Championships and finishing as national runner-up once. His teams also reached four additional NCCAA Final Fours and captured 13 NCCAA Regional Championships. He holds the NCCAA record for 69 consecutive victories and is a member of both the Grace Christian University Hall of Fame and the NCCAA Hall of Fame.
Coach McCarty shared, "Coach Bailey has been a great mentor to me and to so many others. His love for the Lord and his desire for his players to walk with the Lord have been evident over the years. I am thankful for Coach's friendship, and he will be greatly missed at the NCCAA Division II basketball level. May the Lord continue to bless you in your retirement."
Thank you Coach Bailey.
